Bai Chay is a popular man-made beach with 500m long and 100m
wide . Every early morning or late afternoon, thousands of people come down here for swimming, the beach
becomes more and more incredibly bustle.
According to ancient legend , Bai Chay is a place where group of Mongol army’s boats of foods led by Truong Van Ho for invading Vietnam, was burn totally by Tran Khanh Du and Tran’s army and being washed ashore. Because many ships was burned, Northeast wind blew fire to the west bank of Cua Luc river therefore the dry forest nearby turned into flame. Nowadays, the burned forest is called Bai Chay. Another folk legend delicated that the boats usually moored on the beach in the west of the Continent.
At the bottom and surounding of the boat, there were many sea- acorns sticking tightly and ate the boat therefore the fishermen burned casuarinas leaves around it . From Hon Gai and other places, people saw that fire boat was always burning up so this place is called Bai Chay. Every year, Bai Chay took the wind from the sea blowing into. Topography is a low range of hills running gently toward the sea, stretching over 2km of the ancient embrace, are mixed as the hotel, the small villa architecture separately.
Inside paved road, close to the bay of white sand and lush green casuarinas , the cute little venders nestled under the canopy of casuarina. After swimming, tourists can enjoy specialties dishes from seafood. The sea wind here as magic hand which help tourist releasing affliction and sorrow.
Recently, the Royal international companies have invested many services on this beach . Bai Chay tourist site is planning to be the most beautiful tourist area of Ha Long City including restaurants, water puppet shows, traditional music, Hoang Gia International Park , windsurf and model Cars service on the beach.
